Chore Care: On-demand Services for the Digital Era of Housekeeping

January 05 16:26 2022

If there’s one lasting impact of the COVID-19 pandemic that has left all of us affected, it is perhaps a nearly-universal conscientiousness of our health and the way our environments impact it. Over the past couple of years, we have witnessed disruptive changes in virtually every global industry, not the least of which we have seen emerge from the hospitality industry.

From the adoption of personal decontamination units to the increased use of everyday household cleaning products such as sanitizers and disinfectants, most of us are now more conscious of our health (and the health of our loved ones) more than ever before in recent memory. But as our society continues to gradually return to some semblance of pre-pandemic normalcy and our jobs continue to bring employees back into the office, many of us are finding that we simply lack the time necessary each day to perform even basic chores like cleaning.

Thankfully, one Texas-based company has developed a unique solution to this challenge. Headquartered in Plano, Texas, Chore Care has developed an innovative new mobile application that takes the “chore” out of everyday cleaning by allowing its users to select and pay for the cleaning services they need, all in one unified platform.

“Chore Care works by allowing our app’s users to pick the cleaning service or services they need,” says co-founder and CEO Yijo Yim. “Once picked, they can then choose the service pro individual or crew they want to conduct the services they requested and make a secure payment through our app’s platform. If a cleaning pro or crew no-shows, we provide a refund—no membership fee or contract required.”

According to Yim, Chore Care’s mobile application also allows users to remotely track and monitor the progress of the cleaning services they requested in real-time via the app’s integrated dashboard. Once the services are completed, users then receive a comprehensive report of the services conducted, complete with before-and-after pictures of the cleaning performed by the service pro. This step grants an additional layer of quality control and assurance to both the user and Chore Care’s team that the cleaning services requested were performed and validated, which the user can then rate in the app along with any additional feedback they wish to provide.

“In order to provide our customers with the cleaning services they need,” Yim continues, “our app allows users to select from a number of different services, including one-time cleaning or reoccurring cleaning services, Airbnb cleaning services, move-in/out cleaning, cleaning before and/or after events such as parties, light cleaning, and standard cleaning services.”

Along with its customers, Chore Care’s all-inclusive mobile app also provides a niche benefit to the service pros that utilize it as a means of income. The app allows service pros to work on a flexible schedule, essentially granting them access to set their own working hours, without having to worry about expending cleaning supplies or spending hours searching for customers in order to deliver top-tier cleaning services.

After seeing the initial success of its mobile app in its native state of Texas, Chore Care is poised and ready to begin expanding its services further across the continental United States in 2022. In a time when more Americans than ever are dedicated to maintaining the health of themselves and others around them, Chore Care offers an innovative, affordable, and user-friendly way to keep up with everyday household cleaning needs.
