HOUSTON – May 15, 2024 – The Honorable Brittanye Morris, a well-known sitting Judge for Harris County’s 333 District Court, today announced that her leadership group recently invited colleagues to the first of its sort, special event for the Garland R. Walker America Inn of Court in Houston, called, “Judge-A-Palooza.”
The unique gathering at the Harris County Civil Courthouse was an extension of the group’s monthly “Chamber Chat” series. The event was attended by 40 Inn members and guests, including law firm partners, associates, clerks, and law students. The event was an opportunity for the local legal community to learn from the perspectives of sixteen sitting Harris County civil district and courts-at-law judges who were accompanied by several of their court coordinators.
Judge Mark Davidson made a presentation that discussed the history of Harris County jurisprudence and the founding of the Harris County courts. This was followed by a discussion panel of Harris County Civil Courts judges-at-Law, who explored best practices during a normal courtroom week.
Joining Brittanye Morris on the Judge-A-Palooza organizing committee were Harris County Local Administrative Judge Latosha Lweis Payne, Harris County District Judge Ursula Hall and Garland Walker Inn member Jim Cooper, Esq.
