STELSI, the pioneering blockchain-based architectural metaverse platform, has announced the first STELSI International Metaverse Architecture Competition. The competition, beginning on July 20th, calls upon architects, designers, and creative minds worldwide to propose transformative architectural designs for the metaverse.
Guided by the theme “The metaverse world we live in,” the competition invites entries focusing on new spatial experiences, smart buildings, social value creation, cultural elements incorporation, and digital art spaces within the metaverse. The aim is to inspire fresh thinking around redefining the built environment in the digital realm of the metaverse.
A representative from STELSI shared their enthusiasm for the competition, highlighting the transformative potential of integrating blockchain technology into the architecture industry.
“The use of blockchain enables a fair and transparent service environment in a sector often perceived as having high barriers to entry,” said a representative from STELSI. “Through our collaboration with the Korean Institute of Architects, we expect to meet diverse demands from clients and users more swiftly and foster both economic benefit and creative value in the rapidly changing architectural environment.”
Entries will be accepted from July 20th to August 31st. A panel of experts, including representatives from STELSI, the Korean Institute of Architects, and renowned architects in both the metaverse and traditional architecture fields, will review the submissions.
Winners will be announced on September 13th, and their designs will be exhibited on the STELSI Metaverse platform and at an offline venue. Alongside a total cash prize of $13,000, winners will be given the opportunity to register as makers on the STELSI platform and mint and sell their artwork as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).
