Paws & Whiskers, a new pet wellness company focused on veterinarian-formulated dog supplements, has officially launched in the United States with a range of products designed to support mobility, digestion, joint health, and everyday wellness.
The company was founded after co-founder Matt experienced firsthand the challenges of caring for his German Shepherd, Hans, who battled liver cancer and arthritis later in life. Working alongside veterinarian Dr. Petar Petrov, Matt explored nutrition and supplementation as part of Hans’s broader wellness routine. That experience ultimately inspired the creation of Paws & Whiskers.
“Our journey began as pet owners looking for ways to improve the quality of life of a beloved family member,” said Matt, co-founder of Paws & Whiskers. “We wanted to create products that reflected the same level of care we would expect for our own dogs.”
The company also draws inspiration from co-founder Joanne, whose Goldendoodles, Sandy and Minnie, experienced age-related mobility and digestive challenges. Their experiences reinforced the founders’ belief that proactive wellness can play an important role in supporting healthy aging for pets.
Paws & Whiskers develops its supplement formulas in collaboration with Dr. Petar Petrov, DVM, a veterinarian with more than 20 years of experience in animal nutrition. Dr. Petrov also serves as a minority shareholder in the company and continues to advise on product development and quality standards.
“I’ve always believed nutrition plays an important role in supporting overall canine health,” said Dr. Petrov. “Our focus has been creating formulas with carefully selected ingredients that align with current veterinary knowledge and responsible manufacturing practices.”
The company’s supplements are manufactured in FDA-registered facilities in the United States and are formulated without soy, corn, artificial preservatives, or artificial flavors. According to the company, all products are made using ingredients selected for quality and are produced under GMP-certified manufacturing standards.
The launch comes as more pet owners seek preventative wellness products that complement routine veterinary care. Industry research has shown continued growth in the pet supplements category as consumers increasingly prioritize nutrition and healthy aging for companion animals.
