October 20 02:09 2026

Dazhou, China – October 20, 2026 – Recently, the Dazhou High School Binjiang Campus project, constructed by China Railway 23rd Bureau Group, is about to fully break ground. This project is a benchmark public welfare initiative by the Tongchuan District Education Bureau of Dazhou City, aligned with the Ministry of Education’s 2025 “County High School Revitalization Action Plan,” aimed at stabilizing the allocation of urban and rural educational resources and supporting new urbanization efforts.

The project is planned to accommodate 48 teaching classes, spanning a net site area of 64,791 square meters with a total construction area of approximately 56,800 square meters. It features a low-density design with a plot ratio of just 0.74, a green space ratio of 25.38%, and a building height restriction capped at 23.85 meters. This low-density layout seamlessly integrates the architecture into the surrounding natural landscape, creating a quiet and open campus environment. Once completed, the school will provide 2,400 high-quality public high school seats, effectively easing the shortage of school places caused by general and vocational education streaming. It will allow students in the district to access high-quality public high school education right on their doorstep, serving as a key government project to address shortcomings in public services and deliver on its promise to benefit the public through education.

The overall campus plan balances diverse functional zones including teaching, sports, and daily living, with a scientific and orderly layout. It includes two standardized academic buildings, a multi-functional comprehensive building, an indoor gymnasium, a cafeteria for staff and students, separate male and female dormitory buildings, and north and south main gates, along with a 400-meter standard synthetic track field. Additionally, the campus design reflects humanistic care by fully implementing barrier-free standards, featuring facilities such as tactile paving, barrier-free elevators, and accessible restrooms. The internal traffic layout adopts a “enter from the west, exit from the east” flow pattern. The north and south gates feature dedicated waiting areas for parents and temporary bus stops, while the underground garage includes a waiting space for student pick-up and drop-off, effectively diverting traffic and relieving congestion during drop-off and pick-up hours. Dormitory areas have been given special soundproofing treatment against elevator noise, and rooftop green photovoltaic spaces have been planned, enabling the project to meet One-Star Green Building standards overall.

Following multiple rounds of review and optimization, all design metrics comply with regulatory requirements. As a brand-new campus of the century-old, prestigious Dazhou High School, it carries forward the founding ethos of “respecting culture and valuing education,” with hardware facilities matching first-class provincial standards. Currently, the construction drawings have been reviewed and filed, preliminary materials and equipment are fully prepared, and the main structure is expected to be fully completed by the end of the year.
